The traffic management company are sponsors of the iconic Gas Works stand at the Martin & Co arena in Gainsborough, just a stone’s throw from the NTS depot in Kirton Lindsey.

In addition to delivering their wide ranging traffic management service across the UK, the Nationwide Traffic Solutions team will be keeping one eye on the non-league side’s progress this season. Die hard footie fans will know Gainsborough Trinity FC was founded in 1873 and the club stadium also known as the ‘Northolme’ ground is the oldest, single team ground in the world.

The Blues enjoyed a good start to the season – losing just one in six matches – and most recently secured a 2-1 win away at Tamworth.

A number of our staff live locally and have been fans for a number of years.

“We look forward to watching some entertaining football this season and wish the team the best of luck.”
Richard Kane, club chairman, said: “We are delighted that NTS have sponsored the iconic Gas Works stand at the Martin & Co Arena.

“Generous sponsorship and loyal support from local residents and businesses is what Gainsborough Trinity FC is all about, and how we keep going – hence our #inittogether tag.”

Mr Kane explained: “It’s early days yet and, although low down, we seem to have turned a corner, with two wins on the trot against Tamworth away and Leamington in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying round replay.

“Dave Frecklington, our manager, has worked hard to put together a strong squad, which has unfortunately been plagued by injuries early on, sadly meaning some strong players are out of action for the rest of the season. But the gaps have been filled by some very talented loan players, including the splendid Slovakian Youth International goalkeeper, Henrich Ravas.”
