NTS supports #StressAwarenessMonth!

Did you know April is Stress Awareness Month?

At NTS we are proud to encourage a stress-free working environment and are keen to make sure everyone in our team has low or no stress!

We encourage everyone to work as a team, communicate with each other, and urge anyone with any issues at home or work to come forward so we can do our best to help.

Our passion for construction worker mental health awareness is shown by our long term partnership with construction industry charity Lighthouse Club.

The national charity, which celebrated its 60^th birthday last year, supports construction workers and their families whose lives have been impacted by an illness, injury or bereavement.

Lighthouse Club offers financial aid, providing a lifeline to construction workers left unable to support their families following an illness or injury in the workplace. However, just as importantly the charity provide emotional support to the construction community, lending an ear to anyone struggling with stress or mental health issues.

To reach out to the industry-wide community, Lighthouse Club set up the Construction Industry Helpline. Construction workers who find they are struggling with stress are invited to call to access additional support.

The Helpline is free and confidential. Advisors are on hand to offer support for sufferers of stress and addiction related illness, debt management, plus occupational health and wellbeing issues. They can advise on career changes following accident or injury preventing return to a previous job.

To raise awareness of the Helpline, Lighthouse Club is encouraging construction workers to carry a card featuring the number and further information.
