This project was delivered for a King Lifting crane operation using an LTM1750-8.1 750t mobile crane configured in TYV2EN, with a 77m luffer and 204t of counterweight. The lift involved 14t chillers at a 90m radius, requiring a robust and reliable traffic management solution throughout.

The scheme required almost a year of planning due to the scale of the site and the duration of the works. This included regular meetings with the local authority and key stakeholders, as well as advance engagement with residents and businesses to minimise disruption.

The works involved a full road closure with diversion routes in place, supported by 300m of Heras fencing. Ballast blocks and supports were installed over 180m, alongside the client’s acoustic barriers to reduce noise impact on nearby properties. Wind stabilisers, braces, and 200kg of ballast at 10m intervals ensured the installation remained secure in all conditions.

A team of five Traffic Management Operatives were deployed on site, fulfilling banksman and pedestrian marshal duties to maintain safety at all times. The works were completed to plan. If you have a complex closure requirement, get in touch to see how we can support your project…
