When pedestrians are the priority, careful planning must be the best in class. For an ongoing framework project in Slough, Berkshire, we have been supporting the safe lifting of equipment to the roof level for a new industrial development.

This update highlights the successful completion of Phase 1, which ran over an 18-week programme. The traffic management measures included:

• Bespoke technical CAD drawings detailing the traffic management layout and safe working zones.
• Two-way temporary traffic signals alongside two dedicated temporary pedestrian crossing points; ensuring a safe route for pedestrians.
• Advance Warnings & Letter Drops scheduled ahead of the planned works giving local businesses and residents consideration.
• No parking cones placed the afternoon before the day of works to provided works area clear of obstructions and avoid delays.
• Two traffic marshals on site actively coordinating a safe installation and ongoing management of the system.
• Ongoing battery changes and maintenance to ensure the systems operating efficiently throughout.

Phase 1 has now been successfully delivered, with Phase 2 scheduled as the project progresses. The next stage includes additional services being provided, including 120m Heras fencing included for exclusion and site security.
