A huge shout out to Jack McNeill, Supervisor at Nationwide Traffic Solutions, who we are absolutely thrilled to see shortlisted for a Highways Heroes Award.
We could not be happier to see Jack’s actions during a truly horrific event recognised alongside the emergency services and local authorities.
What makes Jack’s story particularly remarkable is that the events he became involved in did not happen directly as a result of traffic management. On his way home from his shift, Jack encountered a horrific situation and chose to step forward when it mattered most.
The training and experience he has gained undoubtedly played a part in giving him the confidence and capability to respond, but what he did was about far more than training. It was a true testament to his personal character, courage and willingness to help others in an incredibly difficult situation.
We are incredibly proud of Jack and delighted to see him receive the recognition he deserves. He is a credit to himself, his family, Nationwide Traffic Solutions and the wider industry.
Congratulations, Jack. We are all behind you and couldn’t be prouder!
