Exciting job on site at Channel 4’s headquarters on Horseferry Road, London

A central London setup and another job delivered.

We had an exciting job recently on site at Channel 4’s headquarters on Horseferry Road, London, providing traffic management to support glass changing operations in the heart of the city.

This one started back in September last year, so it was great to finally see it through from start to finish. A big credit to our office team as always for getting everything in place before our crew even set foot on site.

Working in central London means navigating busier roads, narrower streets and a much higher volume of pedestrians than most jobs. Getting the setup right from the start was essential. Access platform operations in particular bring their own challenges in an environment like this. Managing the working space and reach of a platform over narrow streets, with limited space and live traffic/pedestrians all around, requires careful planning. It is something we have built up a lot of experience in over the years and it shows in how smoothly these jobs run.

We put a narrow lane system in place to support the operation and keep traffic moving safely. The footway was closed and diverted throughout, with pedestrians guided to use the other footway at all times. 80m of barrier was installed across the site, with 4 ramps in place to maintain safe access. Our man and van was on hand throughout to support the setup.
